unwashed

unwashed is an annual creative writing and arts journal based in Bay View, Wisconsin, and established in January, 2023. The inaugural issue of unwashed was published in November, 2023. The submission period for the 2024 issue begins April 1, 2024, and ends May 31, 2024. Previously unpublished creative writing (fiction, nonfiction, and poetry) and black and white art (including photography) are sought. Subject matter is entirely up to the submitting writer/artist. However, individual creative writing pieces should not exceed 1,500 words; submitters are limited to a maximum of three pieces (writing and/or art) per submission; and art submissions should be in black and white. Review of the complete submission guidelines prior to submitting is strongly encouraged. Request guidelines via email at [email protected].
