Unwashed

Unwashed is an annual creative writing and arts journal based in Bay View, Wisconsin, and established in January, 2023. Issues of Unwashed have subsequently been published in November of 2023 and 2024. The 2025 issue will be available in October, 2025.Unwashed seeks previously published creative writing (fiction, nonfiction, and poetry) and black and white art (including photography). Subject matter is entirely up to the submitting writer/artist. However, individual creative writing pieces should not exceed 1,500 words; submitters are limited to a maximum of three pieces (writing and/or art) per submission; and art submissions must be in black and white.Review of the complete submission guidelines prior to submitting is strongly encouraged. Selected writers and artists receive complimentary copies of the journal.Our new website www.unwashedmke.com is presently under construction. Copies of current and past issues of Unwashed will be available for purchase at the new website beginning November 1, 2025.
